Conclusions When compared with reinforced-concrete piles, pyramidal steel-fiber-reinforced-concrete piles submit well to production technology, and have a lower labor outlay for production and embedment, and a lower net cost. They exhibit high impact resistance; this ensures their incident-free embedment in soil to the same design elevations. Their use makes it possible not only to reduce the labor outlays, cost, and time required for the production of pile operations, but also to increase the reliability of the foundations. Fabrication of these piles can be organized without significant capital expenditures.
