Computation of spring compensators for ground anchors
Conclusions 1. Ground anchors that are not equipped with elastic compensators cannot function effectively in clayey soils that deform with time. 2. Use of elastic compensators makes it possible to maintain relaiably the forces in ground anchors within prescribed limits over the time period required. 3. The computational relationships that we have presented make it possible to select the required parameters of the elastic compensators and to design structures with ground anchors with allowance for their prescribed longevity.
