Rational field of application of built-up pile foundations of residential buildings
Conclusions The most effective type of pile 10–40 m long is the following:For a 30×30 cm section and a length of 10–12 m — a one-piece prestressed pile or a built-up pile with ordinary reinforcement and a glued (for a time of connection of the elements of not more than 25 min) or bolted joint; consisting of two elements; for a length of 13–19 m — a built-up prestressed pile with a socket joint or a built-up pile with ordinary reinforcement and a glued joint (for a time of connection of the elements of not more than 25 min) consisting of two elements; for a length of 20–29 m — a built-up prestressed pile with socket joints, consisting of three elements; and for a length of 30 to 40 m — a built-up prestressed pile with socket joints, consisting of four elements. For a 35×35 cm section and a length of 10–12 m — a one-piece prestressed pile; for a length of 13–16 m — a one-piece pile with ordinary reinforcement; for a length of 17–19 m — a built up pile with ordinary reinforcement and a socket joint, consisting of two elements; for a length of 20–29 m — a built-up pile with ordinary reinforcement and socket joints, consisting of three elements; and for a length of 30–40 m — a built-up pile with ordinary reinforcement and socket joints, consisting of four elements.
