Mechanical properties of coarse-clastic soils with filler
Abstract A new method is suggested for determining mechanical properties of inhomogeneous soils, based on mathematical modeling of an experiment. The technique is especially effective when traditional experimental methods are unsuitable, due to large dimensions of the elements of inhomogeneity, or to a scale effect. This article gives results from investigation of the mechanical properties of clastic soils with loam filler. The effect of various factors on the strength and deformability of soil mixtures is analyzed.
