The karst process and construction on lands prone to karst formation (in bashkortostan as an example)
Abstract Five mandatory conditions required for development of the karst process are formulated. It is demonstrated that the distribution of entities that have sustained karst-induced damage, conforms to the law of rare occurrences (Poisson's distribution). Experience gained with the grouting of soil strata prone to karst formation is described and an opinion is stated concerning the expediency of imparting properties of maintainability to foundations in special cases. Positions are described for proven karst monitoring.
