Effect of Soil Loosening on the Ground Surface above Unbraced Underground Workings
Abstract A procedure is proposed for determination of the ground displacements of a soil mass, which are caused by the caving of underground workings of arbitrary form; the determination takes into account the loosening of the soil set in motion, and its effect on the shape and dimensions of the displacement basin.
