Classification of Karstic Terrains Based on Sinkhole Risk
Abstract Types of karstic risk are briefly defined as a function of the character of possible negative consequences of karsts. Basic trends in the classification of karstic terrains are indicated on the basis of sinkhole risk. A modified approach to classification of terrains is presented as a function of predictable risks associated with the formation karst sinkholes.
