Interaction between Pile Foundations Supporting Rockers and Frozen Soil
Abstract It is demonstrated that seasonal tilts of the beds of rockers are associated with the thermal influence of the oil well during freezing/thawing of the surrounding soil, which results in curvature of the freezing and thawing fronts. Numerical solutions making it possible to evaluate interaction between the “rocker+pile-base” system and the surrounding soil are presented.
