On some “generalizations” of analytical engineering methods
Abstract The studies of S. G. Bezvolev [1–3] are examined. Results of analyses performed by the procedure outlined in [1] are presented, and a soil model, which is based on this procedure [3], is discussed. In addition to this relation, the papers under consideration are also linked by the fact that they “generalize” the engineering methods proposed in [4, 5] for analysis of the settlements of slab and pile foundations.
