Mechanized placement of concrete in thick layers by use of powerful vibrators
Conclusions Experimental investigations showed that good-quality compaction of concrete up to 2 m is possible with deep vibrators.Hinged vibrator stacks made up of modernized vibrators of the S-649 type (V-262 and V-316 vibrators) can be recommended as a means of mechanization for compacting by deep layers.Production experience in assembly-line forming of large size prefabricated blocks of the Saratov HES confirms the high technical-economic effectiveness of the proposed method of compacting concrete.The method of placing concrete in a deep layer with powerful vibrostacks can be used successfully in erecting monolithic light-reinforced structures. It is rational to use this method in combination with machines for continuous production and delivery of concrete into a block. Under severe climatic conditions when the block is covered with a tent the stacks can be transported inside the block by crane-beam which is an element of the intrablock mechanization. The stacks fit in well with a system of pipe cooling of the placed concrete. The system of mechanization described can also be used in concreting heavily reinforced structures. In this case strict coordination of design decisions on reinforcing the block with placement of vibrators in the stack is an indispensable condition. Such technology of concreting is most applicable and rational for reinforced blocks from 1.5 to 3 m in height.
