Cement-silicate grouts for the cementing and chemical hardening of rocks and soils
Conclusion The cement-silicate grouts considered here, which as a function of w/c occupy an intermediate position between cement and silicate grouts, are effective and promising compounds for the cementing and chemical hardening of rocks for sealing or creating various impervious curtains. Portland cement, which is readily available, cheap, and safe to handle, is used as the coagulant for these compounds; an economical injection grout is obtained; it is possible to vary the properties and, depending on the components, conditions, and the purpose of the injection, to apply the cement-silicate grouts over a wide range of uses than would be possible with conventional cement and silicate grouts.
