Ways to improve the technology of constructing concrete hydraulic structures
Conclusions When constructing dams, retaining walls, and other massive concrete structures it is possible to use low-cement (up to 80–100 kg/$ m^{3} $) stiff concrete mixes placed in thin layers on a large area and compacted by vibrating rollers.All thin-walled reinforced-concrete structures should be made of poured self-compacting concrete mixes delivered by concrete pumps with the use of plasticizing and air-entraining additives. For such structures it is necessary to develop special formwork, particularly reinforced-concrete.Stiff fine-grained concrete mixes placed and compacted by rotary throwers or vibrating rollers should be used for revetting the slopes of earth structures.
