Calculation of the suspended load in rivers and canals
Conclusion The investigations made it possible to propose a combined method of calculating turbidity-corresponding to the transport capacity of the flow. At first for the period of water discharge being considered the turbidity corresponding to it is determined with respect to the regional annual distribution of the sediment discharge. Then on the basis of the value of the turbidity obtained the limit of application of Eq. (6) is selected and the transport capacity of the flow is calculated with respect to it.
