Engineering-geological analysis of deformation of clayey soils in foundations of hydraulic structures
Summary Results of investigations of marine clays, lagoon-marine clayey silts and glacial clay soils, forming the foundations of a number of hydraulic structures, are presented. Description of engineering-geological properties of clay soils and some recommendations on the study of these properties are given. Results of many years of investigations of actual settlements of structures and of deconsolidation of soils in construction pits are analysed.
