Engineering geological evaluation of increase in groundwater resources close to reservoirs
Summary The authors, having the results of their own geological and hydrogeological studies extending over many years, attempted to estimate the extra quantity of water in retention close to a water reservoir and its variation with time. A determination of extra resources was done by means of two methods: by finding static resources on the basis of hydrogeological regionalization and by mathematical modelling. Then follows a comparative analysis of results of the use of these methods.
