Engineering geological plans of tyne and wear county, N.E. England
Summary A data bank of site investigation reports and other geological information has been used to prepare large-scale engineering geological plans of Tyne and Wear County in N.E. England. A modified stripe method has been developed to represent three layers in the superficial deposits and underlying bedrock. The methodology of plan preparation is explained by reference to a part of a 1: 2500 engineering geological plan.
