Abstract A review of standardized methods of chemical analysis of mineral aggregates for concretes is presented. Since sample preparation and testing in the standardized methods, based on gravimetric quantitative analysis, is very time consuming, a faster turbidimetric method of testing for water soluble sulphates is suggested.
