Design of foundations in France with the use of menard pressuremeter tests (MPM)
The present paper summarizes the main features of the MPM method used for designing foundations of civil engineering works in France (with code "Fascicule 62-V," MELT, 1993; see also Frank, 1999): shallow foundations, axially loaded piles, and transversely loaded piles. It focuses on the origin of the design rules and also mentions their adaptation to Eurocode 7 on "Geotechnical design."
