Permafrost Temperature Dynamics in Subgrade and Foundation Reliability Enhancement
The results of investigations of the climate and geo-temperature dynamics in northern Western Siberia over the last 40 years are presented. Information on trending degradation of the permafrost soils (PMFS) in the region is collected and colligated. An approach to subgrade and foundation design that takes account of the reliability enhancement required in connection with PMFS degradation due to the effects of the climate dynamics and local technogenic factors is examined for the first time in building practice in the Russian Federation.
