Behaviour of shear-strengthened reinforced concrete beams
Abstract A large experimental programme was developed to study the behaviour of shear-strengthened, simply-supported reinforced concrete beams. This paper presents the shear strength of these beams by combining new reinforcement and shotcrete or pre-packed mortar jackets. The behaviour in service and ultimate state, along with bond aspects, are taken into consideration. Three different types of strengthening stirrups were tested.
