Low-Emission Operation of Aeroderivative Gas-Turbine Combustor over a Wide Range of Ambient Conditions
The capabilities of controlling a low-emission combustor (LEC) over a wide range of ambient conditions are analyzed. The LES is intended for a GTU-16P gas turbine that is a derivative of the PS-90A aircraft engine by the UEC Aviadvigatel company. The LEC is of premix swirl stabilized type based on GTE-110 prototype. Its burner consists of pilot and main burners. The main burner has two fuel supply channels that allow controlling the quality of the air-fuel mixture. The low-emission operation range of the LEC can be extended to 70% load at negative ambient temperatures by bleeding air to the compressor inlet.
