Determination of the Embedment Depth of Sheetpile Walls in Wet Soils
Amethod for assessing the stability of cantilever sheetpile walls under the conditions of water seepage into the enclosing construction pit is described. The embedment depth of sheet piles is determined by their stability against overturning and shear together with the retained soil mass, as well as the condition of suffusion strength of the soil.
