From an Observation System to an Automatic Monitoring System: Engineering-Seismometric and Engineering-Seismological Observations at the Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP
At the Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP, engineering-seismometric and engineering-seismological observations are conducted using modem equipment in full compliance with the regulatory requirements. The seismometric system used allows continuous automatic recording of the signal and selection of the desired signal when the preset criteria are exceeded. The engineering-seismological observations are conducted using fully autonomous seismological stations that allow recording and transmitting signals to the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Federation. The engineering-seismometric and engineering-seismological systems can be used to assess the technical condition of the structure.
