Experience in Using Pipes with Internal Helical Finning in Drum Boilers with Natural Circulation
This paper presents an analysis of the results of using pipes with internal helical finning (IHF) to improve the reliability of steam-generating heating surfaces of power boilers. Bench studies show the efficiency of their heat transfer in a certain area of mass flow rates of the medium. The use of pipes with IHF prevents the occurrence of steam-water corrosion of inclined pipes of the boiler waterwalls.
