Analysis of Active Earth Pressure on Anchored-Frame Structures with Consideration to Prestresses
Currently, there are few studies on the earth pressure of anchored-frame structures with consideration to prestresses. Based on previous research, this study determined the potential slip angle of the slope with consideration to prestresses under the assumption of a smooth surface and extreme value of the anti-slip coefficient. The horizontal layer method was used to solve the active earth pressure of the supported structures with prestressed anchors. On the basis of the above-mentioned investigation, the effect of prestresses on the earth pressure was analyzed and compared through theoretical calculation and finite element simulation. The factors influencing the earth pressure were analyzed with consideration to the prestresses. The results reveal that, after considering the effect of prestresses, the earth pressure on the supported structures increases, and the influence of the soil strength parameters on the earth pressure weakens under the influence of prestresses. The effect of changing the anchor spacing on the earth pressure is the same as the effect of changing the prestresses on the earth pressure.
