Multicultural participation in an Israeli neighborhood
Multicultural participation, a process in communities whose identity groups recognize their differences and collaborate across boundaries, has potential in democratic societies whose populations are becoming more diverse. This paper examines multicultural participation in a neighborhood in Israel, whose people live in continuous international conflict. It raises questions about an approach which might contribute to diverse democracy and international relations, if multicultural principles prevailed and the neighborhood were a unit of solution.
