Environmental Health Interventions in Egyptian Villages
Community action should be seen within a broad enabling context. This study in two Egyptian villages suggests a model of how villagers, both women and men, and local leaders can learn to work with and participate in the formal organizational structure of the local government in order to achieve improvements in local environmental conditions.
