Challenges and dilemmas facing community development corporations in the United States
In the United States, Community Development Corporations (CDCs) are one of the prime vehicles for delivering housing to low-income households. Beyond the difficulties involved with securing the needed resources to develop, rehabilitate and manage housing, CDCs are facing a series of challenges and dilemmas that could threaten their viability. This article discusses some of the key challenges and dilemmas facing CDCs and offers a number of suggestions for how they might be best confronted.
