A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
The author examines the conditions for a viable and equitable partnership between public and voluntary services for elderly people living at home; examples researched in Quebec (Canada) are referred to and two models of collaboration are identified: paternalism and real partnership. The burden of caring falling on women is briefly discussed.
