Developments of Cold-Formed Steel Sections in Composite Applications for Residential Buildings
Cold-formed steel sections are often designed and built to act compositely with other constructional materials, particularly with wood and cementitious materials in order to improve their structural performance. This paper reviews some recent developments in composite applications of cold-formed steel sections in the U.K., and presents a number of design recommendations for these forms of structures in residential buildings.
