Self-Equilibrated Stress System and Structural Behavior of Truss Structures Stabilized by Cable Tension
An unstable truss system composed of four truss members connected by frictionless joints is stabilized by a self-equilibrated stress system which is introduced by using a post and cables. This stabilized truss system is named “Unit Structure”, and is gathered up into an assembled structure, which is called “Truss Structure Stabilized by Cable Tension (T.S.C.)”. In the present paper, the structural behavior of both the unit structure and the assembly T.S.C., is investigated analytically.
