Research on the spatiotemporal coupling relationship between regional BIM policies and typical BIM projects in China
The past decade has seen increasing application of BIM technology in AEC projects across China with the promotion of the regional BIM support policies. However, the spatiotemporal coupling relationship between regional BIM policies and typical BIM projects in China has not been investigated. This paper constructs a comprehensive evaluation system of regional BIM policies and BIM typical projects and analyzes the coupling evolution characteristics of regional BIM policies and BIM typical projects in time and space by the coupling model. Firstly, the coupling degrees between regional BIM policies and typical BIM projects in China are at the running-in period, and the degree of coupling coordination is still in the early stages, but the overall trend is increasing as time goes on. Secondly, there is an evident regional diversity of coupling degree of China's regional BIM policies and BIM typical projects, and the coupling degree is closely related to the regional economic development, with a clear radiation-driven effect in space, showing the tendency of progressively spreading from the "core" of high coupling to the "periphery", and the degree of spreading influence has a defined direction in space. Thirdly, the type of coupling between BIM policies and typical BIM projects is advanced development policy in more than half of China's provinces.
