Maintenance of Concrete Block Pavement
Abstract The chapter is devoted to not only call to attention the advantages in the renovation process of ICBP pavements, but also the areas failure could take place. The cause for such failures are investigated and elaborated. Maintenance procedure is observed as well, through detailed illustrations, along with the methods of repairing and reinstating lower pavement layers. Moreover, guidelines under selecting and laying replacement blocks, checking both joint widths and block heights, and filling block joints are included in the chapter, which concludes with the final step of the maintenance procedure: the confirmation whether suitable requirements were met.
