Abstract The first level of environment management on key megaprojects is to comply with all the national (local) laws and regulations, and Environmental Impact Assessment is a necessary starting point to ensure that all the project processes are in compliance with laws and regulations. The bigger the size and importance of the project, the more scientifically solid and accurate its EIA should be. Meanwhile, project executives and environment management team should thoroughly study and understand the environment assessment report, which will be beneficial for subsequent environment management.
