Reliability Analysis of Structural Components and Systems
Abstract Progress in the understanding, the formulation and in the numerical treatment of reliability problems of structures has been considerable in the very recent years. Yet, the main areas, the modelling of uncertainties, the computational techniques and the assessment of acceptable risks, have not developed to the same degree and a number of applicational aspects needs further research. All in all, the theory of structural reliability appears to be in a very promising state ready for application in quite a number of fields.
