Building Information Modeling-Based Engineering Systems Design
In the design of healthcare facilities’ engineering systems (heating, ventilation, water supply, sanitation, outdoor networks, etc.), the building information modeling (BIM) is a highly effective tool that helps avoid design errors of various nature. Organizational deficiencies are revealed that affect combined activities. Measures are proposed for a more correct information modelling of engineering systems. Autodesk Revit software is analyzed for potential to be used as engineering design tool.
