Discussion of “Effect of Site Conditions on Site Amplification Factors and Seismic Design Spectra for Bridges” by Muhammad Tariq A. Chaudhary
Abstract In the present discussion, reliability of input parameters of site response analysis utilized by the author is investigated. Various issues such as selection of modulus reduction and damping curves, compatibility of input motion with reference site condition, and type of site response analysis are discussed here. Hence it seems that further clarifications by the author should be made.
