Effect of age on nonuniformity of the strength of concrete
Conclusions 1. The nonuniform variation of concrete strength with age decreases with more rapid hardening of concrete of lower strength. 2. With a known regression relation between the strengths at different ages, it is possible, from a selection for the carliest age, to calculate the strength distribution parameters at any subsequent age. 3. For a small variability of the initial strength (in the writers' tests, for V0<10%), use should be made of the mean value of the coefficient of transfer from the initial strength to the strength at a later age. In this case the coefficient of variation with age does not change and remains equal to the initial coefficient.
