The Speed of Response of Controlled Shunt Reactors
Versions of the installation of controlled shunt reactors in 500 kV class transit electric transmission and in an autonomous power system of an oil-extraction unit with a predominant motor load are considered. In all cases, it is shown, based on calculations of the static and dynamic stability, that the use of high-speed shunt-compensation devices is not required.
