Degradation in Brittle Materials Under Static Loadings
Abstract The behavior of rock like materials under quasi-static loading is of major importance (i) to understand the degradation process (ii) to determine the appropriate model in view of finite element predictions. The localization that occurs prior to the peak of the load displacement Curve imposes to examine the constitutive equations in order to match both the homogeneous response and the localized one.
