Secondary flows beyond a bend of a pressure conduit
Conclusions 1. Experiments established that a 90° bend of a flow creates secondary flows, which are formed by four vortex filaments of contrary direction of rotation and not by two as considered earlier. 2. All parameters characterizing the secondary flows can be obtained by calculation on the basis of the values of the vorticity of the secondary vortex filaments and their coordinates. 3. The developed vortex current meter permits detecting stationary vortex filaments in a flow, determining their coordinates, and measuring their vorticity.
