Conclusions 1. For the sealing system of turbine guide vanes it is expedient to use in place of rubber seals, seals made from high-pressure, low-density strip polyethylene. 2. The cavitation erosion of Francis turbine runner blades can be reduced by feeding air into the cavitation zone; for application of coatings on them, use should be made of three-dimensional patterns for controlling the theoretical blade profile. 3. The replacement of generator stator windings can be carried out without disassembling the stator, by using special two-level scaffolds and containers for the stator winding bars.
