Use of equalizing racks in the outlet sections of draft tubes of hydroelectric and pumped-storage stations
Conclusions 1. Investigations and calculations showed that the installation of equalizing racks in the outlet sections of draft tubes increases the operating efficiency of hydraulic machines and is expedient both in energy and economic respects. 2. To determine the actual positive effect, an equalizing rack should be installed at one of the operating HES or PSS and the necessary on-site observations and measurements carried out.
