Analytical Methods for Determining Fire Resistance of Steel Members
Abstract Traditionally, fire resistance has been evaluated by subjecting a structural member to a standard test for a specified duration [1]. All members performing acceptably are rated and listed for the duration period of the test (e.g., 1 h, 2 h). Assemblies not listed are assumed to be unable to meet the test criteria and thus have no rating, unless proven otherwise.
