A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Abstract Audio is the marriage of acoustics and electronics. Audio is used in three major ways: as sound recording and reproduction, as sound reinforcement in rooms or public address, and in broadcasting. In each case, a sound wave is turned into an electrical equivalent (i.e., an electrical analog) and processed in some way as an electrical signal. Then it is turned back into a sound wave. The devices that make the transformation, from acoustical to electrical and back to acoustical, are transducers.
