Rhodium-Containing Mesoporous Aromatic Frameworks as Catalysts for Hydroformylation of Unsaturated Compounds
Heterogeneous catalysts for hydroformylation of unsaturated compounds, consisting of rhodium nanoparticles immobilized in the pores of mesoporous aromatic frameworks based on tetraphenylmethane (PAF-20, PAF-20–NH2), were synthesized. The resultant materials were characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The rhodium content in the PAF–Rh and PAF–NH2–Rh samples synthesized was found to be 2.33 and 2.57%, respectively. The obtained catalysts exhibited high catalytic activity in hydroformylation of a number of C6–C12 linear alkenes; the yield of aldehydes at a pressure of 3.0 MPa after 6 h ranged from 50 to 70%. Reusability of the catalysts synthesized was demonstrated.
