Guangdong-Fujian-Zhejiang Coastal Region: A Network Corridor Between Three Coastal Provinces
As a large city cluster stretched in the form of a network corridor between three coastal provinces, the Guangdong-Fujian-Zhejiang coastal region is a major hub for the manufacturing industry, tourism, and marine economy. We provide historical analysis and significance of this coastal city cluster, which is recognised as a strategic coastal network. Facing the Taiwan Strait, this city cluster is a strategic hub for transnational development, industrial development, and rural industrialisation. We provide summaries of the challenges and coping strategies of the city cluster before delving into its sustainability agenda and sustainable development plans from multiple perspectives. After a holistic review of the regional sustainable plan, we provide a summary of its pathways to carbon neutrality.
