    Abstract Advective, dispersive and diffusive fluxes appear in the macroscopic balance equation of an extensive quantity (e.g., mass, mass of a component, heat) transported in a porous medium domain (2). The objective of this chapter is to develop expressions for the macroscopic advective and diffusive fluxes of mass and heat in terms of macroscopic state variables.
