Analysis of Provincial Road Damage Handling Priority in Singojuruh District, Banyuwangi Regency
The population of Banyuwangi Regency has increased by 2.19% over the last 5 years, which affects increasing population mobility. Adequate road infrastructure is essential to facilitate inhabitant movement in carrying out business and other social activities. Singojuruh sub-district is one of the sub-districts passed by provincial roads, and it is one of many roads in Banyuwangi Regency that have sustained significant road damage. Along with other factors, high traffic volumes, construction materials, and climate are some factors of the ones that contribute to road damage, whereas in 2022, it was recorded that 428.08 km of roads in Banyuwangi Regency were severely damaged. Mobility activities will be impacted by the condition of numerous damaged roadways. Therefore, it is required to determine the priority for managing road damage. In this study, the priority is determined based on the damage level of the road's pavement surface. The value of the damage determined by visual damage inspections, riding quality, and drainage conditions is used to determine the priority for managing road damage. As a result of this study, it is expected to find out which road segments are to be prioritized for maintenance. Priority determination is carried out based on several factors such as budget availability, traffic fluency, and proposals addressed to related agencies.
