Application of Analitical Models for the Optimization of Large Structural Systems
Abstract The paper deals with continues analytical models used for analysis and optimization of dynamical characteristics of plate—like large space structures. The models are supposed to be adequate to thin—walled structures made from locally orthotropic mate rials. The influence of anisotropie tailoring on the basic integral characteristics investigated. The orientations of the axes of the orthotropy are assumed as unknown design variables and are found to maximize fundamental eigenfrequencies of bending vibrations. Computed optimum designs are compared with conventional layouts.
